SANGEETHA RASIKA SANGAM - December 2012

The 149th Program of Sangeetha Rasika Sangam, Chennai 92 was held at Sri Siva Vishnu Temple, Natesa Nagar, Virugambakkam P.O., Chennai 600092 30th July 2012 - between 6.30 pm and 9.00 pm. .
Namasangeerthanam by Dr R Ganesh and party. Dr Ganesh, disciple of Maharajapuram Santhanam and party rendered a typical Naama Sangeerthanam programme based on Pudukottai Gopalakrishna Bhaghavathar (popularly known as Appa) tradition. Being an exponent of Carnatic Classical music, Dr Ganesh delivred Bajan songs with deep sense of Raaga Lakshanam. Bajans were rendered with typical Bakthi Bhavam which moved the audience very month. Dr Ganesh included also Folk songs of Maharajapuram Santhanam. The Naama Sangeerthanam concluded with Mangalam.
