SANGEETHA RASIKA SANGAM - October 2011

The 144th Program of Sangeetha Rasika Sangam, Chennai 92 was held at Sri Siva Vishnu Temple, Natesa Nagar, Virugambakkam P.O., Chennai 600092 on Saturday the 4th February, 2012 - between 6.30 pm and 9.00 pm.
S Malavika, Vijay TV Super Singer Fame, was the vocalist. She was supported by Sudha R.S. Iyer on the violin and Tanjavur Sri Praveen Kumar on the Mrudhangam. The programme was well attended. Malavika's conert was totally enjoyed by the audience. She chose a number of good Krithies viz., Maadhe Malayana Baje in Khamas, Maha Ganapathim in Nattai, Saravana Bhava in Shanmukapriya, Kapali in Mohanam. Her Main Raaga was Thodi. The alapana was a detailed one enjoyed by the audience. The swara prasthara was also excellent. The song for the main raaga was again a popular one Thaaye Yasoda. The next one was in Suddha Saveri viz., Thaye Thiripura Sundhari. Naaradhamuni in Pantuvarali was also a very good song. To sum up the concert was thoroughly enjoyed by the overflowing audience. She concluded the concert with Mangalam.
